Code of Conduct for Students/Parents at YSBD Theatre Academy.
Student Code of Conduct:
- To wear the correct YSBD Theatre Academy uniform to class.
- To be respectful to all faculty and members of staff at all times. If a student is disrespectful they may be asked to leave the class.
- To obide by the YSBD Workshops Ltd Behaviour Policy. Any students who do not follow the Policy may be ask to leave the Academy after a sufficient amount of warnings.
- Hair should be off the face and tied up neatly.
- No jewellery is to be worn in any class. Small stud earrings may be permitted with permission from the principal or teacher.
- To be honest and respectful.
- To arrive on time to class to avoid disruption to the other children. We advise parents to arrive with children 10minutes before the start of the class to allow time to sign in and get ready.
- Students are not allowed to leave the premises at any time without a parent/guardian. Parents must sign their child out at the front desk after the class has finished.
- To show respect to fellow students in class. No bullying, gossiping or isolation of other children in classes
- To be clean and tidy and place rubbish in the bins after you have had a snack
- Respect and care for YSBD Theatre Academy equipment, facilities etc.
- No videos are to be put on social media of any classes at YSBD Theatre Academy unless given permission from the principal, as this could be an infringement of our Child Safeguarding Policy.
- In the case of a student terminating classes during a term, the fees are not refundable.
Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct
- To be honest and respectful.
- To be respectful to all faculty and members of staff at all times. If a parent is disrespectful the family may be asked to leave the Academy.
- To respect the teachers and their decisions in terms of direction, advice and training given to children. We pride ourselves at YSBD Theatre Academy on hiring the best teachers in their chosen discipline so please understand and respect their professional methods for the highest quality of training.
- To be supportive of their children’s efforts and appreciate that children participate in classes at YSBD Theatre Arts for their own enjoyment.
- To teach their children respect for other students and teachers and to lead by example.
- YSBD Theatre Academy reserves the right to ask a student to leave the Academy for inappropriate behaviour by a parent.
Parents must be aware of our YSBD Workshops Ltd Behaviour Policy and ensure that their children obide by it.
